How to Say "Yes" in Russian
"Yes" in Russian is simply да (da) - one of the very first words you will learn, and one you can use exactly as you would in English. It never changes form.
In Russian
da - yes
Variants & registers
- конечноkonéchno
of course / certainly - an emphatic yes
neutral - ладноládno
okay / fine / alright - agreeing to do something
casual - хорошоkhoroshó
okay / good - agreement, also "well"
neutral - агаagá
yeah / uh-huh - very casual
informal
Breakdown & pronunciation
Pronunciation
да is one syllable, a short clean "da" - the a is open, like the a in "father". There is no hidden vowel and no glide; resist saying "dah" with a drawl.

Usage & etiquette
One quirk worth knowing: in casual speech да is sometimes used as a filler at the start of a sentence, the way English uses "well" - да, не знаю ("well, I don't know"). Context makes it clear it is not a real "yes".
конечно (of course) is the natural emphatic yes, while ладно and хорошо are closer to "okay" when you are agreeing to do something rather than answering a yes/no question.
