Terms of Service
Last updated: November 1, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Daily Cyrillic. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Daily Cyrillic, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Daily Cyrillic is an AI-powered language learning platform that provides:
- Interactive flashcards with spaced repetition for vocabulary learning
- Alphabet learning with audio pronunciations
- Verb conjugation tables and drills
- An AI conversational tutor using OpenRouter with DeepSeek by default and Luna (OpenAI) as fallback. DeepSeek uses zero-retention hosts; OpenAI may retain API inputs for abuse monitoring but does not train on API data.
- Image scanning to identify and translate text in photos
- Progress tracking and personalized learning paths
- Data export in CSV and Anki formats
2a. Paid plans, free trial, cancellation and refunds
- Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Max) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance at the price shown before you confirm. They renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Prices are final; no VAT is added.
- Free trial: Pro can be started with a 7-day free trial once per person and per payment card. A card is required. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription continues automatically and the first payment is taken on the date shown at checkout. Stripe sends a reminder email before the trial ends.
- Founder price: the first 100 buyers of annual Pro or Max pay 50% of the regular annual price. The founder price applies for as long as that subscription continues without interruption. It ends if you cancel and later subscribe again, or switch to a monthly plan or to Starter.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in Billing or via “Cancel subscription” in the footer, also without signing in. A cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the paid period (or the trial) and is not renewed.
- Refund: you can ask for a full refund of your first payment within 14 days of that payment, without giving a reason – just write to us. Later renewals are not refunded unless the law requires it.
- Right of withdrawal: consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the contract (see the withdrawal information in section 2b). If you ask us at checkout to start the service immediately and then withdraw, you owe a pro-rata amount for the service provided up to that point; the right of withdrawal ends once the service has been fully provided. Nothing is charged during a free trial, and the refund above still applies to your first payment.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Failed payments are retried automatically; if a payment cannot be collected, the subscription may end and your account moves to the Free plan. Your learning data is kept.
2b. Withdrawal information
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Nico Jaroszewski, Daily Cyrillic, Schlosstalstrasse 202, 8408 Winterthur, Switzerland, email: info@DailyCyrillic.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. an email or a letter sent by post). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
If you requested that the services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Independently of the right of withdrawal, we refund your first payment in full on request within 14 days (section 2a). Nothing is charged during a free trial, so withdrawing during the trial costs nothing.

- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform

5. Intellectual Property
All content, features and functionality of Daily Cyrillic - including the design, code, text, graphics and logos - are owned by Nico Jaroszewski (operating as Daily Cyrillic) and protected by intellectual property laws. The AI models used to provide the service are third-party models and are not owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
The language content (alphabet, grammar rules, common vocabulary) is in the public domain and not claimed as proprietary.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Important Notice
Text and images are processed via OpenRouter for translations, image analysis, grammar explanations and tutor responses. Default DeepSeek requests use hosting providers with zero data retention and no training on inputs. Luna fallback requests may go to OpenAI, which may retain inputs for abuse monitoring under its API data policy but does not train on API data. Speech is generated separately via ElevenLabs. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies
- Translations and grammar explanations should not be relied upon as the sole source of learning
- We recommend cross-referencing AI responses with authoritative language resources
- AI-generated audio pronunciations are approximations and may not perfectly represent native speech
Daily Cyrillic is not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated content.
7. User-Created Content
Content you create on Daily Cyrillic - including custom vocabulary sets, flashcards, and chat messages - belongs to you. By creating content on the platform, you grant us a limited license to store and display it within the service for the purpose of providing the platform to you.
You can export your data at any time using the CSV or Anki export features. When you delete your account, all your content is permanently removed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daily Cyrillic and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the service
- Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Unauthorized access to your account or data
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Any third-party conduct or content on the platform
Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or where such a limitation is not permitted by mandatory law (in particular Art. 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations).
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Daily Cyrillic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Termination
By you: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.
Money-back guarantee: If Daily Cyrillic is not right for you, you can request a full refund of the first payment of your first subscription within 14 days of that payment by emailing info@DailyCyrillic.com. The guarantee applies once per customer and only to that first subscription payment; renewals, plan changes and credit top-ups are excluded. A free trial is not a payment: after a trial, the 14 days start with the first paid charge. After the refund, the subscription ends and your account returns to the Free plan. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will survive.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Winterthur, Switzerland.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of habitual residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts there where mandatory law allows.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
